Bag photos: the bag alone, first.
Zalando, Google Shopping and Wolf & Badger all show a bag on its own in the first image and on a model later. This page brings their published bag rules together, each with its official source.

- First image
- A front-facing cut-out or pack shot on a completely white background
- Format
- JPEG, 1,500 × 1,500 pixels, centred and square, under 1 MB

Images that follow these rules.
Herofab's product studio places a bag on a white studio background and is briefed to keep the handles, straps, hardware and stitching, with the bag standing upright with its natural volume; the virtual try-on shows the bag carried by a model for additional images. Wolf & Badger requires a true, unedited photograph of the actual product as the hero image and does not permit AI to generate or alter the product, so Herofab does not recommend its images for Wolf & Badger listings unless Wolf & Badger confirms them.
Bags, answered.
Can a handbag be shown on a model in the main image?
Not on Google Shopping, whose best practices show handbags alone in the main images and on a model in additional images, and not on Zalando, where a front crop is not allowed as the catalogue view for bags and luggage. Wolf & Badger's first image is a cut-out or pack shot on white.
How should bag straps look in a packshot?
Zalando asks for short straps pointing upwards and long straps laid flat or rolled on the left side, not visible on the right, so that small details and logos stay unobstructed.
Which angle suits the back of a bag?
Zalando asks for back views at a 45° angle, so that both the back and the side of the bag are visible.
Where do these figures come from?
From Zalando Partner University — Bags and Luggage image guide, read on 14 October 2026. Marketplaces update their rules; the official page is the final reference.
