No. The file is read and processed inside your browser; nothing is sent to a server.
What does the checker look for?
Three markers: the IPTC DigitalSourceType tag in the file's XMP metadata, which Google asks sellers to keep; the contains-synthetic-performer keyword Amazon asks for on images with AI-generated people; and C2PA Content Credentials. It reports whether each is present; it does not verify C2PA signatures.
If nothing is found, is the image not AI-generated?
Not necessarily. The checker reads markers, not pixels, and many editors and resizers drop metadata when they save a new file.
Do Herofab images pass?
