Acceptable use policy
Herofab makes product images for sellers and brands. This policy sets out what Herofab may and may not be used for. It applies to everything you upload, type or generate through the app, the API and the try-on widget, and it forms part of the terms of service.
What is allowed
You may use Herofab to create and edit images of products you sell or have the right to show:
- packshots, white-background images, styled scenes, flat lays, ghost-mannequin images, close-ups, colour variants and advertising images;
- clothing, shoes, bags, jewellery, eyewear and watches shown on an AI-generated adult model;
- underwear, lingerie and swimwear as product images only: as a flat product, on a ghost mannequin, or on an AI-generated adult model that Herofab creates or that you pick from the model library. These images are not published on public share links;
- your own model photo, only when the person shown has given explicit consent; the app asks you to confirm this before the job starts and records your declaration with the job.
What is not allowed
You may not use Herofab to create, upload or request:
- Sexual content: NSFW, explicit or sexually suggestive content, nudity, pornography or fetish content, including images that remove or reduce a person's clothing. This applies to every product, including underwear, lingerie and swimwear.
- Underwear, lingerie and swimwear on a real person: putting these products on a photo of a real person you upload, or editing such a photo, is never allowed, even with that person's consent.
- Sexualisation of minors: any content that sexualises, or could sexualise, a person under 18. AI-generated models on Herofab are adults, and children's clothing is shown as a product, without a child model.
- Deepfakes and impersonation: images that fake or imitate a real person's face, body or identity, or that are meant to deceive people about who someone is or what they did.
- Real people without consent: images of a real, identifiable person, including celebrities and public figures, without that person's permission.
- Hate and harassment: hate symbols, hateful ideologies, or content that attacks or harasses a person or group.
- Violence: graphic violence, gore, torture, self-harm or terrorism.
- Illegal or deceptive content: content that is illegal or promotes illegal products, counterfeit goods, logos, designs or photos you do not have the right to use, and listings that misrepresent a product.
You may also not try to get around these rules or Herofab's checks.
How the rules are applied
- Written descriptions in Canvas and in ad creatives are checked before a job starts. A description that asks for nudity, children, violence, hate symbols, real or famous people, or copies of brand logos is refused; no job starts and no credits are charged.
- The image-generation providers Herofab uses apply their own content moderation. If a provider refuses a job, no image is delivered and the credits are returned.
- A job that would show underwear, lingerie or swimwear on a photo of a real person you uploaded is refused before an image is made, and the credits are returned.
- Uploading or requesting prohibited content breaks this policy, and Herofab may refuse the job or remove the content.
- These checks do not catch everything. You remain responsible for what you upload, request and publish.
If the rules are broken
Herofab may refuse a job, remove content and suspend or close an account that breaks this policy. Serious or repeated breaches can lead to the account being closed. Where the rules allow it, Herofab tells you why. Credits and refunds are then handled as described in the terms of service.

Herofab is an independent product built on third-party AI models and is not affiliated with their providers.
