Amazon clothing images: the main-image rules.

Amazon clothing, answered.
Can a ghost-mannequin image be the main image for adult clothing on Amazon?
Amazon's clothing guidelines say adult clothing main images must be photographed on a model, so a ghost-mannequin image does not meet that rule for the main image.
Can kids' clothing be shown on a model on Amazon?
Most children's clothing can. Modelling of children's and baby undergarments, leotards, swimwear and similar form-fitting items is strictly prohibited; these are shown without models. Children's wear images must be at least 1,000 pixels.
What aspect ratio should Amazon clothing images have?
Amazon's clothing guidelines give a minimum aspect ratio close to 3:4 (width to height), with 85% of the image area occupied by the product.
Are socks treated differently?
Yes. Visible mannequins and packaging, which are not allowed for other clothing, are accepted for stockings and socks.
What size does Herofab download for Amazon?
1,500 × 2,000 px, within the limits Amazon publishes. After delivery, choose Amazon · Clothing under “For a marketplace”: the file is made from your delivered image, without cropping and at no extra credit.
Where do these figures come from?
