Dropshipped products, photographed from a sample in hand.
A dropshipper often lists a product never held, using the supplier's pictures. Herofab works from a photo of the product, and a seller should use only photos taken by the seller or used with permission. The dependable route is to order one sample and photograph it on a table.
What a dropshipped listing depends on.
- 1
A sample in hand
The sample is the only version of the product the seller can inspect. Photographed once, it gives Herofab a source photo that is the seller's own and gives the seller the reference for every later check: colour, material, logo size, label wording. Supplier pictures belong to someone else; use only photos you have the right to use.

Scenes and angles from one photo
Product studio places the product on studio white, grey or beige, on marble, wood or linen, on a podium, outdoors, in a home setting or on the seller's own background. The angle is front, three-quarter, side or top-down, and the shadow is soft, absent or a reflection. A table, a hand or a box in the source photo is not a problem.
- 3
The image against the parcel
The customer receives what the supplier ships, so the image has to show that product and nothing finer. Herofab is briefed to keep the shape, the colours, the materials, the logos and the printed text. Hold the sample next to the delivered image and compare the two, small label text first, and again when the supplier's product changes.
Photographing the sample when it arrives.
- Take the product out of its bag or box before the photo, since a product photographed inside its packaging is flagged, and no credit is spent on it.
- Set it on a table near a window, whole and in focus, one product per photo; the table, a hand holding it or the box beside it may stay in the frame.
- Add a detail close-up of small parts such as a label, a clasp or an engraved logo, so that each is on record in the source.
AI product photos for dropshipping, answered.
Can the supplier's product pictures be uploaded in place of a sample photo?
Herofab works from a photo of the product, and the rule for any photo is the same: use only photos you took or have permission to use. A sample photographed by the seller meets that rule without further questions, and it shows the product as it is actually shipped, which a catalogue picture may not.
What if the sample differs from the supplier's own listing?
Then the sample is what to follow, since it is what a customer would receive. Photograph the sample, make the images from that photo and write the listing from the product in hand. Where the difference is one the seller would not want to sell, the sample has shown it before any image was published.
Can one sample photo give both the plain image and the scene images?
Yes. The same photo can be placed on studio white for the plain image and in a scene such as wood, marble or a home setting for the additional ones, each at its own angle. Images are delivered in 2K, or 4K as an option, and each can be downloaded in marketplace sizes without cropping.
How much does it cost?
4 credits per image, plus one credit for 4K. The cost is shown before you generate, and if a job fails the credits are returned. The 20 free credits at sign-up cover 5 images with this tool.
