Crossbody bags with a model, strap in the picture.
The strap is half of a crossbody bag: its length sets where the bag rests, and its fittings are often the most visible metal on the product. Herofab shows the bag with a studio model who carries it, and the image is briefed to keep the strap, the flap, the clasp and the scale of the bag as photographed.
What a crossbody image is checked for.
- 1
Strap run and where the bag rests
A long strap crossing the torso places the bag near the hip; a shortened one lifts it toward the waist. See that the strap in the result is one unbroken line from one side of the bag to the other and that its width matches the product, then give the strap length in the listing.
- 2
Rings, sliders and chain
Strap fittings are small and repeated: a ring at each side, a slider buckle, snap hooks, sometimes a length of chain. Herofab is briefed to keep hardware in its place and colour. Check that gold has not turned silver and that both attachment points are present.
- 3
Flap, clasp and small scale
Most crossbody bags are compact, so the flap and its turn-lock, magnetic tab or zip fill much of the front. Against a torso the bag should look as small as it is. Compare the clasp with the product, and judge the scale with the real bag held against the body.
Photographing a crossbody bag with its strap.
- Stand the bag on a plain surface, flap closed and clasp fastened, and lay the strap in one open loop behind or above it so that no part crosses the front.
- Keep the entire strap inside the frame, even if that means stepping back; a strap cut off by the edge of the photo leaves its length to be assumed.
- Wipe fingerprints from the clasp, peel protective film off the metal, and add a close-up of the lock or of an embossed logo on the flap.
Virtual try-on for crossbody bags, answered.
Does the strap length in the image match my bag?
The strap is taken from the photo, and Herofab is briefed to keep the proportions of the product. It is not a measurement, and an adjustable strap has no single length. Give the shortest and longest setting in the listing, and check that the bag in the image rests at a plausible height for its strap.
What if the bag has a detachable strap and a top handle?
Photograph it in the configuration the image should show. With the strap clipped on, strap and handle are both part of the source; with the strap removed, the product is a hand-held bag. The seller picks the crossbody category in the app, and the result follows what the photo contains.
Which model suits a compact crossbody bag?
Any of the three sources works: a ready-made model, a created one whose body type, age range and hair are chosen by the seller, or a model photo used with that person's permission. A compact bag is read against the torso, so keeping one saved model across a collection lets buyers compare sizes fairly.
