- The main product image is at least 1,000 × 1,500 pixels, with no template or placeholder images
- Recommended
- A 2:3 aspect ratio, or 1,000 × 1,500 pixels; Pins with an aspect ratio greater than 2:3 might get cut off in people's feeds
- Extra images
- Up to 10 additional images, each at least 75 × 75 pixels; Pinterest creates a new Pin for every additional image link
- Formats
- For ads, PNG or JPEG; uploaded images are converted to 8-bit RGB JPEGs, and Pinterest advises PNG in sRGB to avoid a loss of quality
- File size
- For ads, up to 20 MB on desktop and 32 MB in the app
- Changes
- If the image changes later, a different link is needed or the image will not update
