- 8 MB maximum for each product and variant image
- Zoom
- The theme's Image sizes setting controls the zoomed image shown on hover; the API documentation says to provide an image smaller than 1,280 × 1,280 pixels for the zoom image, otherwise a resized image is returned
- Aspect ratio
- Product images used as thumbnails are best kept at the same aspect ratio; an image whose ratio does not match the theme's settings is stretched or shrunk
