- Not allowed
- Marketing images should not include text, brand logos, watermarks or any type of border; images should not carry redundant elements such as random ads or excessive decorations, and pieced-together images are to be avoided
- Retouching
- Any cut-out or Photoshop effects must appear natural
- Model photos
- The front of the goods should be fully displayed; if a human face is included, authorisation for portrait rights and advertising images is needed
- Description images
- All images within the detailed description must feature English captions

These rules cover goods released by local merchants on AliExpress. They ask for a white-background image at 1:1 and a scene image at 3:4.
