Source: [Wolf & Badger Help Centre — What are the product image requirements for apparel?; accessories & jewellery; beauty; homeware; Can I use AI-generated imagery on Wolf & Badger?; My images/text are being rejected; How can I crop/resize my images in bulk?; Step-by-step, how do I manually upload a product?](https://kb.wolfandbadger.com/image-requirements-apparel) · checked 12 October 2026 - **Main image:** Pure white background (RGB 255, 255, 255) - **Main image:** Square image, width equal to height - **Main image:** Compulsory: at least one front-facing cut-out or pack shot on a completely white background, placed first; a first photo with models, mannequins or staging is rejected - **Background:** Pure white for the first image and all pack shots; a first photo whose white is off-colour or has too many shadows may be rejected - **Size:** 1,500 × 1,500 pixels; the image must be centred and square, and a cropping tool is provided when uploading - **Formats:** JPEG - **File size:** Less than 1 MB - **Resolution:** 72 dpi - **Additional images:** Alternative angles, model shots and lifestyle images are highly recommended; the second image must differ from the first, and without a lifestyle shot the product may be left out of certain site sections and customer emails - **Packaged products:** For beauty and homeware, the first or second image must show the product out of its packaging; gift sets need each constituent product shot individually in later images - **Image order:** Label the cut-out product shot 1, then order the remaining images accordingly (2, 3, 4...) - **Not allowed:** Logos or text on any image; awards or reasons to buy on secondary images - **AI images:** Permitted for backgrounds, settings, lighting and lifestyle context, but not to generate, alter or improve the product itself; every listing must include at least one true, unedited photograph of the actual product as the hero image, and obviously AI-generated people are not acceptable [Wolf & Badger image guide](https://herofab.app/guides/wolf-and-badger-image-requirements) · [Product photo checker](https://herofab.app/tools/product-photo-checker) ## How each rule is measured. - **Background colour:** The background colour is the median of a thin band along all four edges. A pure-white rule passes only when that band is RGB 255, 255, 255; near-white values such as 253 are reported with their exact colour. - **Square format:** Width and height must match to within 2%. - **Scene photos:** Room and lifestyle photos have no plain background to measure against, so fill, edges and shadow are marked as not measured rather than guessed. ## Checkers by marketplace.
