# A suit on a model, jacket and trousers as one.

A suit is two garments that must read as one: the same cloth, the same shade, cut to go together. Herofab dresses a studio model in the set from a photo that shows both parts, and is briefed to keep the lapels, the button stance and the line of the trouser.

## What a suit image is judged on.

1. ### One cloth, top and bottom

Jacket and trousers have to match in colour, weave and pattern. A difference in shade between the two is the first fault to look for. With a stripe or a check, follow the pattern from the jacket front down to the trouser leg and see that it holds the same scale throughout.
2. ### Lapels and button stance

Notch, peak or shawl lapels; single- or double-breasted; how many buttons and how high they sit. These define the jacket. Buttons and shape are briefed to be kept, and the button count is a known item to verify: count the front and the cuffs against the real jacket.
3. ### Pockets, vents and trouser line

Flap, jetted or patch pockets and a chest welt belong to the jacket; the crease and the break belong to the trousers. Pockets are harder to keep on turned poses, so compare them on any three-quarter or leaning image. Vents sit at the back and need a back photo to be recorded.

## Photographing a suit as one set.

- Show both pieces in one frame without hiding either: the jacket on a hanger and the trousers hung or laid directly below, so the jacket hem does not cover the trouser waistband.
- Button the jacket as it is worn, with the lapels lying flat and the sleeves hanging straight at its sides, not crossed over the front.
- Do not leave the trousers folded over the bar of a suit hanger. Show them at full length, and add a back photo for the vents and a close-up for the cloth.

## Virtual try-on for suits, answered.

**Can the jacket and trousers be photographed separately?**

For the suit category the source photo should show the set, because the suit is the product. Where the pieces are also sold on their own, each can be run as a separate item, the jacket as a blazer and the trousers as trousers, on a model kept in the library.

**Which pose suits a tailored suit?**

Standing front shows the button stance and the trouser break together. A three-quarter pose shows the roll of the lapel and the side of the trouser. Hands in pockets is a familiar tailoring pose, but it lifts the jacket front, so compare pockets and vents with your photos.

**Does the size setting decide between a slim and a regular cut?**

No. The cut is part of the garment's shape and is read from the photo; the size, from XS to XXL, sets how that garment is drawn on the model. Neither replaces trying the suit on. Name the cut and give the chest and waist measurements in the listing text.

**How much does it cost?**

5 credits per image, plus one credit for 4K. The cost is shown before you generate, and if a job fails the credits are returned. The 20 free credits at sign-up cover 4 images with this tool.
