Hold the real shoe next to the image and check that the heel is as tall and as thick, that it joins the sole at the same point and that a contrast-colour heel kept its colour. 2. ### Ankle straps and slingbacks A thin strap with a small buckle is among the finest parts of any shoe. Herofab is briefed to keep it; confirm the buckle is on the outer side, the strap closes around the ankle instead of floating above it, and no strap has been added or dropped. 3. ### Toe, vamp and finish A pointed toe should stay pointed and a peep toe open. Patent leather, satin, suede and metallic finishes each reflect light differently, so compare the surface in the image with the pair itself, and look for a platform that has grown or vanished. ## Photographing heels before the upload. - Stand the pair on a plain surface with one shoe in full side profile, so the height of the heel and the arch of the sole can be read from the photo. - Fasten the ankle straps and buckles as they would be worn; a strap left hanging open is hard to tell apart from a loose ribbon. - Use soft window light on patent and metallic pairs, and tilt the shoes until the phone no longer shows in the surface. ## Virtual try-on for heels, answered. **Will the heel look as high as it is?** Herofab is briefed to keep the shape of the shoe, heel included, and the result follows the photo.
