# Check your photo against TikTok Shop's rules.

TikTok Shop sets rules for the main image that can be measured from the photo: background colour and square format. Drop a photo to see which ones it meets. It runs in your browser; nothing is uploaded.

- **Main image:** Pure white background (RGB 255, 255, 255)
- **Main image:** Square image, width equal to height
- **Size:** Every product image at least 600 × 600 pixels

- **Not allowed:** Added logos, text, borders, watermarks or graphics on any product image

## How each rule is measured.

- **Background colour:** The background colour is the median of a thin band along all four edges. A pure-white rule passes only when that band is RGB 255, 255, 255; near-white values such as 253 are reported with their exact colour.
- **Square format:** Width and height must match to within 2%.
- **Scene photos:** Room and lifestyle photos have no plain background to measure against, so fill, edges and shadow are marked as not measured rather than guessed.

## TikTok Shop main images, answered.

**What background does TikTok Shop require for the main image?**

Pure white background (RGB 255, 255, 255). The checker reads the background from the edges of the photo and reports its exact RGB value.

**Does TikTok Shop require square images?**

Square image, width equal to height. The checker compares the width and height in pixels.

**What size should TikTok Shop product images be?**

Every image at least 600 × 600 pixels, up to 9 square images, the main image a front view on pure white.
