# The ABOUT YOU model view, upright, on white or cut out.

ABOUT YOU requires two views: a front bust view on plain white or transparent, and a model view in the same upright format. Virtual try-on makes the model view from a hanger or flat-lay photo, on studio white, and the result downloads in the size ABOUT YOU recommends. The bust view is not a try-on image and is not covered here.

## Two required views, one of them on a model.

1. ### Bust view and model view are separate

ABOUT YOU lists both as required: a front bust view on a plain white or transparent background, and a model view. Virtual try-on dresses a studio model in the garment, so it supplies the second and not the first. This page covers the model view; the bust view remains a separate image, prepared as ABOUT YOU's requirements describe it.
2. ### Categories that need no model view

Model views are not required for shoes, accessories, kids and home. In those ranges the required view is the bust view, and a model view is not asked of the seller. Every other range needs both views, so find the category of the article first and count which images it still lacks before any of them is uploaded.
3. ### Light grey, white or transparent

Behind a model, ABOUT YOU names a plain light grey of one stated value, with white or transparent as the alternatives. Herofab covers the two alternatives: studio white in Virtual try-on, and a transparent PNG when Remove background cuts the delivered image out. Its studio grey is not put forward as the grey ABOUT YOU names.

## Preparing the source photo for an ABOUT YOU model view.

- Hang the garment or lay it flat with the neckline, both cuffs and the hem inside the photo; the model view is upright, and a hem that the photo cuts off cannot be added back faithfully.
- Photograph the front straight on, which is the view Herofab requires, and add the back when it carries a print, a zip or a seam detail that the listing should show.
- Leave belts, scarves and other pieces off the garment unless they are sold with it: try-on works from one item per photo, and the model view should show the article being listed.

## Product photos for ABOUT YOU, answered.

**Does Virtual try-on also make the ABOUT YOU bust view?**

No. The bust view ABOUT YOU requires is a front view on a plain white or transparent background, while a try-on image shows the garment worn by a studio model, which is the other required view. Herofab's part for ABOUT YOU is the model view, on white or cut out to transparent. The bust view is prepared separately, and ABOUT YOU's official page describes it.

**Can the model view be downloaded in ABOUT YOU's size?**

ABOUT YOU is among the marketplace sizes offered after delivery. Choosing it produces a file in the upright size ABOUT YOU recommends, made from the delivered image without cropping. Select the three-by-four portrait ratio when the image is made, so the model is composed for that frame from the start. In that ratio, 2K and 4K output are both above the recommended size.

**Which file type goes with which background?**

ABOUT YOU takes JPEG for images on a white or grey background and PNG for images with a transparent background, and caps the weight of each. A model view on studio white therefore belongs in a JPEG, and a cut-out from Remove background in a transparent PNG. The free checker reads a file in the browser and tests it against ABOUT YOU's published rules before upload.

**How much does it cost?**

5 credits per image, plus one credit for 4K. The cost is shown before you generate, and if a job fails the credits are returned. The 20 free credits at sign-up cover 4 images with this tool.
