Its height, a side or back zip, a button tab, an elastic channel or a paperbag top are briefed to stay as photographed, and the open waist shows an inside that the tool renders. 2. ### Pleats, gathers and panels Knife pleats, box pleats, tiers and godets are noticed by attentive buyers. On the result, pleats should be regular and run from waistband to hem. A pleated skirt photographed bunched together gives the tool no clear spacing to follow. 3. ### The hem line Straight, curved, asymmetric, wrap or handkerchief: the hem is the signature of the cut and decides the stated length. Check that a wrap overlap closes on the correct side and that a lace, scalloped or fringed hem keeps its fine edge. ## Setting up a skirt for the photo. - Clip the waistband at both sides so it hangs level, and fan the hem out a little so pleats or flare are open to the camera. - For a wrap or button-front skirt, fasten it completely; for a slit, turn the slit to the position it has when worn. - Lay bias-cut satin and jersey skirts flat instead of hanging them, since they stretch under their own weight, and keep the full hem in frame. ## Ghost mannequin for skirts, answered. **How are pleated skirts handled?** The pleats are part of the shape Herofab is briefed to keep. See-through fabric is among the hardest surfaces to carry, so check the transparency and the lining length at the hem before using the image. **Which view shows a back zip or a kick pleat?** The back view, made from a photo of the skirt's back added to the required front photo.
