The hollow shape should narrow where the garment does. Check that an elasticated waist is still gathered and that a fabric belt still sits in its loops, with its buckle. 2. ### Leg shape and the rise Wide, straight, tapered or cuffed: each leg is given volume in the 3D style, and the two should separate cleanly below the rise. Compare the width at the hem with the garment, and make sure a culotte cut was not closed into a skirt or narrowed into a slim leg. 3. ### Front zip, buttons and pockets A utility jumpsuit carries a long zip or a button band from collar to waist, chest pockets with flaps, and often a fly below the belt. Trace the closure all the way down and count the pocket flaps on both sides. ## Getting a whole jumpsuit into one photo. - Hang it from a high hook or the top of a door so both leg hems clear the floor, and smooth the legs so they hang apart instead of one behind the other. - Hold the phone upright at the height of the garment's waist and step back; shooting from above makes the legs look short and the bodice large. - Zip or button the front, fasten the belt, and turn the sleeves forward so their cuffs can be seen; add the back when it has a zip or an elastic panel. ## Ghost mannequin for jumpsuits, answered. **Will both legs be visible, or do they merge?** Legs that overlap in the source photo are the usual cause of a merged result, because the covered part cannot be copied. Separate them before shooting so there is a visible gap from the rise to the hems. On the result, look for two distinct leg openings at the bottom. **Should a tailored jumpsuit use the 3D style?** A fitted bodice and a seamed waist read more clearly with the 3D shape, which gives the upper half its form.
