Source: [Fruugo Retailer Support & Documentation — Images; Field Specification; Validation Errors; Issue Reasons](https://fruugo.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/RR/pages/3215097943/Images) · checked 12 October 2026 - **Main image:** White background (recommended) - **Main image:** Imageurl1 is mandatory and is the primary image displayed for the product; it must be on a white background, or an appropriate lifestyle image for products such as clothing or furniture - **Background:** All images should be centred on a white background - **Minimum:** 400 × 400 pixels; provide the highest resolution available - **Formats:** JPG, PNG or GIF - **Number:** Up to 5 images per product: Image URL 1 is mandatory, Image URL 2-5 are recommended - **Not allowed:** Watermarks, text, overlays (logos, icons, tags) and placeholder images - **Image URL:** Each image URL field is limited to 150 characters; the URL must point to the exact image location, including file name and extension, on unrestricted hosting - **Updating images:** Images are only updated if the file name is changed; Fruugo does not check whether the file is newer than the last import - **Multiple angles:** Use multiple images for each product to show different angles and features [Fruugo image guide](https://herofab.app/guides/fruugo-image-requirements) · [Product photo checker](https://herofab.app/tools/product-photo-checker) ## How each rule is measured. - **Background colour:** The background colour is the median of a thin band along all four edges. A pure-white rule passes only when that band is RGB 255, 255, 255; near-white values such as 253 are reported with their exact colour. - **Scene photos:** Room and lifestyle photos have no plain background to measure against, so fill, edges and shadow are marked as not measured rather than guessed. ## Checkers by marketplace.
